Suggest Medication For Hailet-Hailey Disease

My 63-year-old husband's first break out of Hailey-Hailey when he was about 30 years old. He is 5'9" tall and weighs about 240 lbs. Now he suffers with constant breakouts ranging from the rash, the open sores that ooze fluid, and the scabbing over of the sores...places affected are under his arms, breast, genital area, chest and neck. The neck mostly stays rashy but doesn't ooze fluid. I know the number/name of the gene but I'm wondering if there is a new treatment for those who suffer 24/7 with this. Are researchers working on a cure or good medicines right now (May 2011). We could use a wonderful breakthrough for this disease. Thank you so much for your help.
