Suggest Medication For PCOD And Enlarged Bulky Ovaries With Cysts.
Hi, Welcome to HCM. I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. The doctor has started you on Krimson (oral contraceptive pills) because they are the first line treatment in PCOD. I accept that these are associated with side effects. Still if you can tolerate them that will be of help to you. If you cant tolerate hormones the next options are: 1, Metformin at doses 1000-3000 mg/day 2, Myo ionositol, other herbal preparations - doubtful role 3, Anti androgens - aldactone and finasteride. Please discuss with your doctor regarding this. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. Regards Dr Ajish TP Consultant Endocrinologist
