Hi Doctor, First i would like to start by saying that i am not having sex. Last August my gynecologists gave me a pelvic examination as i was finding it difficult and painful to have intercourse with my partner. Further to this he informed me that i have involintary muscle spasms also known as Vaginismus. Everything else was fine. I am currently in therapy for this and will soon move on to physical tasks. But sex is not in the therapy for now so nothing is being inserted into my vagina. I basically keep getting irritated in my vulva area. It comes and goes. I fee sore especialy after i wee i feel my skin outside of my urethra is sore. A few months ago i went to my GP and she checked me and said that my skin was thin and irritated but no sign of an infection. I notice that when i shave i become irritated but also when i am moist for a while. My GP gave me Vitamin Dermina paste. Which helped me a lot. The only issue it comes and goes. What can i do to sooth this as i dont want to go to a gynecologist just yet. I could go for weeks fine and then i will get irritated by something. I am not sure what. I use a special soap from the pharmacy for cleaning my vulva. My shavers are the cheap disposable ones so maybe that can be the issue. My concern is that i will soon start physical tasks and i dont want this to be a problem. Please advise and if need i can take a picture of my vulva and send it over.
