Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was diagnosed nearly a month ago with a vitamin D deficiency. My bottle of vitamins went missing the other day, and my parents and younger brother say that none of them moved it. I never touched it myself. They want me to find it, but I ve looked everywhere and it s not anywhere. My parents are refusing to buy me more. It s not sunny here, and we don t have any fish around. What do I do?

Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. You can take milk and milk products, organs like liver and kidney for vitamin D if fish is not available. Buy vitamin D supplements like in softgel form. Initially you can take it daily for 3 months followed by weekly once. If fish is available then take fishes like mackerel twice weekly. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
