Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain a
salivary gland gets blocked when there is either obstruction of the opening of the duct of the salivary gland with some foreign body or formation of crystalline stones in the duct of the gland from the minerals present in saliva..
In both the conditions the treatment is directed towards removal of the onstruction so that the saliva can flow well from the gland to mouth and there is no pooling of saliva in gland that causes swelling..
Antibiotics will not be helpful in resolution as they can treat bacterial infection..
Rather in your case the symptoms of
diarrhea, patchy sore mouth and
sore throat are all due to side effects or
allergic reaction to antibiotics leading to
stomatitis..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician or an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis..
You can be advised to chew sugar free chewing gum and drink plenty of water as at times the obstruction gets removed with the flow of saliva..
Manual or surgical removal of the stones can be advised depending upon location of the stones if the above remedy does not help..
For diarrhea you can take anti diarrhea medicines like
Loperamide and take probiotics like Yoghurt in abudance..
Take more of banana, rice, yoghurt and cereals in diet..
For mouth discomfort gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine and also suck ice pops..
Avoid spicy and hard foods..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
