Hello,

Bronchitis can be treated with medications effectively, you can become an athlete after you have been treated completely.

Visit ER, have sputum culture, X-Ray, Spirometry test done. Your treatment will depend upon the severity of the pathology detected. You may have to stay under long-term medication.

Quit smoking, stay away from pollution or anything which irritates your lungs, avoid drug abuse, eat homemade healthy food rich in calcium & protein. Avoid oily, spicy junk food. Do regular exercises.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
