Suggest Medication For Chronic Pain Due To Shingles On Leg

Can a 90 yr, old women use salonpas patches for pain chronic pain left over from shingles on her leg? She was using lidocaine patches until insurance no longer paid for it. Where can she get bulk or at least more than 6 in a package? She uses them everyday. Or any other suggestions? Ointments do not work for her, she uses too much and then it burns her. Thanks!

This is called postherpetic neuralgia. It is very painful. Try Tab. Tegretol 200 mg at night and see.
