Suggest Medication For Congested Nose And Dry Cough In An Infant
Hi my baby will be 6months complete on 1st feb 2016. Recently he is suffering with runny nose which converts into blocked nose at night and he has dry cough.. Since am travelling I visited 2-3 doctors and they suggested medicines. Today i gave him Tylenol on 21st jan 1 dose morning (1.5ml) Viscodyne D (5ml) Azithral (1/2 tablespoon) Tylenol at 6pm (1.25 ml) Sinarest at 12am (2.5ml)
Will it be harmful for him? He puked after having viscodyne d and got all the cough out...i have decided to follow one doctor henceforth but will these mixtures be harmful for him?
Understanding your concern. As per your query your child have symptoms of congested nose and dry cough which is due to upper respiratory tract infection which is leading to sinusitis as well. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to avoid intake of cold liquids. You should take antibiotic Ciprofloxacin and antihistamine Levocetirizine for 3-4 days. Visit pediatrician once if symptoms keeps on persisting and get blood tests and X-ray chest done and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Give child steam inhalation and apply mist humidifiers in room.
