Two days ago I inhaled a small piece of food or a bug. I immediately coughed, did not have a severe choking reaction, however, I was unable to get the object out. I continued to cough over the next day and the following night I started to have a bad sore throat, and was coughing with mucous. Today the cough subsided but my throat is sore. I am not sure if the object went into my throat or windpipe. I also cannot tell if the sore throat is a result of the coughing or a reaction to what may be stuck. Will this clear on its own or do I need to see a dr?
