Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been coughing really bad for the past 3 days and I can't sleep at night. But everytime I cough it feels like I am coughing up mucus and it feels like my chest is closing up to where I can barley breathe and my whole body is really weak. What could this be?
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You may have upper respiratory tract infection or lower respiratory tract infection like pneumonia. You should take antibiotic treatment like levofloxacin, azithromycin, amoxiclav or cephalosporin. You should also take antihistaminics like cetrizine or avil with mucolytic agents ambroxol. These all are prescription based medicine so consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly. Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
