Hello,

If your son is having a normal cold, I would recommend not using any medications to treat it, because studies have shown that they don't help very much, and sometimes can have dangerous side effects.

One natural treatment you can give is honey, a teaspoon mixed in with juice or warm water, which can help with the cough. For the runny nose, you can just use bulb suction.

Only if he has a history of asthma and has wheezing would I use any inhalers under his doctor's guidance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
