Suggest Medication For Diarrhea And Concussion

My dad had an open womb on his head he was climbing a palm tree an one of the palm branches fell on him cutting his head a local nurse cleaned the injury an bandaged it an said he might need stitching but he has no medical insurance for he s not a resident it s been 2 days since the accident he has diareah since the morning the day of the accident he had horrible head ache is it a cuncusion? An what is the diahrea

Hi,
The injury your father had on his head needs an expert consultation & assessment of the head injury..It's good that your father does not have other sign's of brain involvement apart from head ache.still he needs treatment.If he does not have health policy,he can be treated at government hospitals.
* head ache can be due to concussion/sepsis in scalp injury/ deep brain injury.the local examination of the wound, dressing,Injection TT,antibiotics,anti inflammatory drugs would take care of his wound.
- X ray skull/ CT sacn should be done , to exclude more serious injury to skull bones/brain matter. followed by treatment accordingly.
* the diarrheoa your father has might be due to psychological stress/viral/bacterial in origin.
Give him plenty of water with a pinch of salt & sugar. light easy to digest diet./IV fluids if needed.
In case he is not relieved after 5 days,consult doctor for anti diarrhoeal medicines after evaluation of his condition.
