Suggest Medication For Double Vision Due To A Head Injury
My 10 year old hit her head on the left side about 3 weekes ago and in the last week and a half started to have problems with her vision. The eye doctor wants to perform a eye density test and I dont know what that all involves. She has been losing some of her vision in her right eye as well as double vision
Hello It seems from the history that your daughter is having double vision following head injury. This is usually because of cranial nerve palsies involving 6th or 4 the cranial nerve. The treatment in the initial period is mainly medical treatment to see for spontaneous improvement. If it does not resolve spontaneously or if there are symptoms like loss of vision or other neurological symptoms, it requires evaluation by neurological examination and tests like CT scan of head and brain.
