Suggest Medication For Dry Cough With Ear Ache In Children
7Hi my child is 6months old n having light ear pain/infection...so doctr suggested to takebetnesol ear drops, mox125 syrup(2.5ml thrice a day) n nutrolin B syrup(2.5m thrice a day) so let me knw is it dry cough will b cured with d same syrup bcoz my child has dry cough too....plz help
If he is not febrile, is playful and is feeding as usual, need not worry about dry cough- it will go in a couple of days. If cough is sever enough to interfere with feeding or sleeping, bronchodilators like Salbutamol syrup 2.5ml three times a day given for 5 days might help. Antihistamines like levocetirizine or chlorephniramine maleate are also given occasionally but may cause a bit sedation in young infants.
If not getting better in two days, kindly get his chest examined once.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
