My 2 year old daughter has a raised rash on her left leg and the weird thing is its in a straight line. I took her to the doctors two weeks ago and they said it s just eczema and put hydrocortisone cream on it but it s not working. It doesn t itch her. I just want to see if someone can help me.
Hi. As per your case history of eczema, my treatment advice is - 1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on the lesion twice daily. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for itching. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
