My blood pressure was 177/110 this evening at work when I had a nurse check me. The er doctor gave me novasc 5mg and given me a prescription of it also. Do u think that was good enough care while my blood pressure is that high? Or do I need to go elsewhere?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
As it is noticed for the first time, it requires daily check up your blood pressure and keep record.
You might require further investigations like EKG, lipid profile, blood sugar estimation.
Continue with medicine prescribed and keep record of BP.
If required your doctor might change the medicine after BP record.
Ok and take care.
