Suggest Medication For Flu

I have flu like aches, no fever. Itchy nose and ears. Sore throat and coughing and sneezing. Antihistamines does nothing for the symptoms. Miserable, my ears and throat are mostly the problem . I also have very tender lymph nodes in my neck are under my ears. My Granddaughter was just diagnosed with Adenovirus and slept with me when I visited them a couple of days. She had very high fever though

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The anti histamine would not help with your sore throat, ears or coughing , they may help with the sneezing and congestion.

An assessment of your ears may be needed to determine if you have an ear infection which would require antibiotics.

You may want to consider using paracetamol or ibuprofen to help with the sore throat and ears.
An oral gargle or spray such as chloroseptic or covonia would help with the sore throat.

There are cough suppressants available over the counter to help with the coughing.

I hope this helps
