Genetics has a role to play and in those who develop premature grey hairs, there is usually a positive family history. A role is also postulated for environmental factors such as ultraviolet light, smoking, deficiency of trace elements and nutritional deficiencies in the causation of premature greying. Para aminobenzoic acid (PABA) and Calcium pantothenate are well known remedies for premature greying and have been used in the past to arrest and even reverse premature greying. Either of them can be used alone or in combination. You have been on the right treatment for premature greying. Curlzvit tablet contains calcium pantothenate 100 mg, para-aminobenzoic acid 200 mg. You need to continue this for at least 6 months to notice improvement. Beside this you could also use, 1% Melitane gel. This has recently been made available as a remedy for premature graying of hair. It is available as a gel and needs to be applied once daily (2ml) at night to the hair roots (scalp as well as beard).
