Suggest Medication For Hematoma Above The Upper Wrist Caused After A Injury
My left arm, about two inches about the wrist on the ulna side, got slammed into the side of an open door on Monday a week ago. I do not have insurance and was just able to go the ER. No broken bones were found in the x-rays, but I still have HUGE hematoma that looks like a goose egg at the point of impact. I am bruised from the back of my arm, just above my elbow to the tips of my fingers and the palm side of my hand. How long will it take this hematoma to go down and how do I treat it? The ER referred me to an orthopedic doctor, but I don t have insurance, nor can I afford that.
hello user see as you have mentioned your hand was smashed ,and right now you are having no broken bones. the swelling you noticed is soft tissue swelling + blood collection make sure that your normal palm and finger activity is preserved . For swelling you can take cold compression but not too cold A course of NSAIDS such as diclofenac and sertopetidase (chymoral forte b-r ) one a day but these are priscription drug so better you consult your doc once and the swelling will slowly fade away in 3-4 week depending upon the extent of trauma
