Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is having high fever in between 3 a.m to 9 a.m approx or till wake up with cough often . Once she get into normal routine the temperature becomes normal . She is having cold and we are taking medication for that . Please advise us to go for any blood check-up or any other diagnosis
Hello! I had gone through your query and understand your concern. Since she is having a cold that means a viral infection of the upper respiratory infection these symptoms are normal for this condition. Runny nose, fever, cough and these symptoms can last at least 2 weeks. So for the moment isn't necessary to do further tests. Just give her medication, control her fever, rest.give her plenty of fluids (this is important to prevent dehydration due to high fever),give her healthy foods most vegetables.
Your daughter's symptoms will improve day after day.
If the cold symptoms get worse or the fever doesn't go dawn than probably you need to do some tests such as blood tests and consult a physician.
Hope I was able to help you. Wish a quick and complete recovery to your daughter. Dr.Rovena
