Hello and welcome to HCM, The ultrasound report is showing presence of a stone measuring 7 mm at the left VUJ i.e. the vesico-ureteric junction or the junction between right ureter and urinary bladder. Another stone measuring 4 mm is found at the lower calyx or the lower branch of collecting system of right kidney. These stones are causing obstruction and back pressure changes. These changes are causing dilatation of right ureter and right kidney. The left kidney is normal. The treatment of stones and dilatation of right ureter and kidney is removal of stones in kidney and right ureter. Removal of these stones will relieve the back pressure and thus dilatation of ureter and kidney. There is no medical treatment for the condition. Long standing back pressure changes can cause permanent damage to the kidney tissue prompt treatment is required.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
