Suggest Medication For Hyperplasia And Constant Bleeding
i was prescribed Provera because of hyperplasia and constant bleeding. The Dr. prescribed 10 days on then rest of month off for a total of 3 cycles. On day 8th of the first cycle the bleeding started heavy again. I am off of it for 2 days now and bleeding is still very heavy.
Treatment of hyperplasia and bleeding is commonly progesterone therapy. Progesterone thins the uterine lining and controls bleeding. Your treating doctor has prescribed you Provera oral. Once you stop taking the medicine, withdrawal bleeding will start (2-3 days after). If oral provera is not working then you may need shots. Consult your treating doctor. Atypical endometrial hyerplasia increases the risk of cancer. If your family is complete, your treating doctor may consider hysterectomy.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
