Suggest Medication For Hyperthyroidism

hello sir,
I have been battling with hyperthyroidism I was thyrouracil for a while stopped when I got pregnant and had a baby my baby is 16mths old now and am losing weight and have nodules on my neck . my last tsh result free T4 20.4, FREE T3 7.1 , TSH 0.02 I DONT HAVE an endrocrinoligist where I live and thyrouracil is scarce here can I star carbimazole? what do I do

Hi,

Welcome to HCM. I have gone through the question and understand your concerns.

Propylthiouracil (PTU) is recommended for hyperthyroidism only in pregnancy. The drug of choice after that is carbimazole. So you can take that.
