General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If you have local irritation when you use the cream it might be best to not use it, sometimes this might make the scar worse or even cause secondary infection due to the itchiness it causes.
Also it is important to leave hypertrophic scars and not use much chemicals or cause a lot of local irritation as this can make them worse.
So to conclude I would say please stop the cream and leave the area open and do not poke or scratch it. If it is itchy just use local cold compresses to quiet it down.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
