I have previously been confirmed to have irregular heart beat/pulse rate, for which I was advised to quit coffee and it stopped. in past few months I have taken ginger regularly and my irregular heart rate has returned. Apart from quiting ginger, what medication can I take to normalize the heart beat?

Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like heart attack , changes to your heart's structure , blocked arteries , high blood pressure , diabetes , hyperthyroidism , hypothyroidism , smoking , drinking too much alcohol or caffeine and stress .I would suggest you to cardiologist without any delay for proper checkup . Doctor may order electrocardiogram , stress test , electrophysiological testing , complete blood profile along with vitals . Doctor may prescribe anti-arrhythmic medication , betablockers or recommend catheter ablation , pacemaker or implantable cardioverter defibrillator . For now take proper rest and do not exert you body .
