Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am in need of name over the medication that can help with joint pain. I cannot take aspirin products and tylenol doesn t help. Aleve was what I was able to take in the past but it irrates my stomach. I desperately need something to relieve this pain.
You need to understand that the stronger painkillers are always going to be harsh on your stomach.
Now, for joint pain over the counter drugs are for pain and inflammations such as NSAIDS like Ibuprofen, Tylenol, Piroxicam etc.
As Ibuprofen(Advil) was effective, you can take an antacid such as omeprazole along with. Physiotherapy is always going to help with your joint pain. Please consult your doctor if your symptoms persist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
