General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Cap Tamsulosin 0.4mg once daily can be used to dilate the ureter. It is an alpha-blocker and should be used with caution. Besides flushing therapy is recommended in stones below 7mm. But the location and size of the stone are important and that decided the treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Fahad Khan, General & Family Physician
