Hello,

For relief from headache, stay well hydrated, take ORS. Low blood glucose or dehydration may cause headache and dizziness. Maintain your blood glucose and body electrolyte level normal at all cost. Take home made nutritious food and adequate sleep. Stay away from anxiety and stress. For relieve from pain and discomfort take acetaminophen, one SOS when required. Avoid doing any heavy work.

Long term complication of pericardectomy procedure for constrictive pericarditis is commonly pleural effusion, pulmonary infection or wound infection. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a cardiologist. Get all required blood workouts and imaging tests done to rule out any developing complication post surgery. Dizziness, low blood pressure, trouble breathing, anxiety, restlessness, rapid breathing, chest pain, etc., may be indicative of developing cardiac tamponade. Get treated at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
