Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi there, I presently have about 6 small ulcers on my bottom lip, also quiet a few on the tip and boarder area of my tongue. They are very painful and have now been there 3 or 4 days. They look quiet weepy on my lips and a gel the chemist recommended made it very uncomfortable so I have ceased using it. Can you please give me any advice and what are your thoughts. Kind regards. Raewyn
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of ulcers in mouth which is very common thing and there can be many factors that can cause ulcers like vitamin B12 and folic acid deficiency , low immunity or some underlying disease. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult oral pathologist for proper diagnosis and to find out the exact cause . Doctor may examine them physically , take biopsy or order complete blood profile . For now continue medicine prescribed by doctor , start multivitamin supplement , do warm saline rinses 2-3 times daily and avoid hot and spicy food .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
