Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic. I read your question and I understand your concern.
Pain in the back after slipping is due to strain mostly of muscle, sometimes ligaments or tendon.
You should not be worried of fractures or major
disc prolapse if you can walk around with no intense pain and in normal posture.
Take simple pain killer like ibruphen (
Advil, martin) or
Tylenol. apply ice pack for 20-30 minutes if pain is accompanied by swelling. Take rest.
You can also be benefited from topical
analgesic like Voltral emulgel.
It takes 3-6 weeks to fully recovered from strain depending upon severity.
If you can't four steps without pain or you have
numbness in the affected area or limbs
or the pain is out of proportion then consult your primary healthcare provider to investigate you like
Lateral Xray thoracolumber spine or MRI.
If you want to avoid these incidents in future you have to do both aerobic and anaerobic excersize to strengthen your muscles and enhance stamina.
Hope it helps best.
Take your best care.
