Suggest Medication For Painful Bump On Leg Caused Due To An Injury

Several weeks ago I was hit in the lower leg with a baseball causing a decent sized bump. A small somewhat painful bump remains, and today started feeling pai behind my knee....almost like a pulled ligament, although I don t know when I may have hurt it. Definitely feel it when I raise my toes. Am I ar risk for a clot?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear thanks for the question.

There are two possibilities in your case like muscle injury or a haematoma (clot). Since pain is there on toe movement you need to get it examined by a surgeon. If possible get an ultrasound scan done for better study of injured area. Based on these findings treatment can be decided. Physiotherapy, surgery, drainage of haematoma along with pain killers are few options.

I hope I have clarified your queries. Please write for follow up questions. I wish you rapid recovery. Please write a feedback. Thanks
