Suggest Medication For Painful, White Blisters And Cuts On Inside The Mouth

Hi, I was spiked in a club five days ago and took an allergic reaction to the drug. My lips swoll up from the inside out. The swelling has completely gone down but I have cuts on the inside of my mouth on my lower lip. They are really really painful. They look white, like blisters. My teeth keep catching on them or even if i drink water irritates it. I ve tried bonjela, rinsing with warm salt water, and painkillers, but nothing has made a difference. Can you give any advice?

Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain there has been an allergic reaction due to the drug leading to formation of ulcers / canker sores inside the mouth..

In case if the reaction was severe the painful ulcers formed takes more time to heal and you need to be calm and relax as anxiety and stress can further be damaging for you.

To see the effectiveness of the numbing gels like Bonjela apply half an hour before the meals so that there is no pain and discomfort while eating.

You can take Ibuprofen twice daily to reduce inflammation and pain.

You can also take tablets containing Fexofenidine which is an antihistamine and is taken as an anti allergic medicine.

Gargle using half milk of magnesia and half benadryl liquid for relief.

Gargle with diluted hydrogen peroxide solution can help.

In case the inflammation and pain does not subsuide steroids are
recommended.

Avoid spicy and hot food products.

Drink more of cold water and other cool liquids but should not have citrus nature to maintain hydration and prevent dryness of mouth.

Suck on ice pops relief.

Hopefully in next 7 to 8 days the symptoms will subside but if it does not happen or the ulcers gets large and more painful consult a doctor to get evaluated.

Hope your get well soon..
