Suggest Medication For Persistent Cough In Children
Hello Doctor my sons age 5yrs and 2 yrs have got cough for the past 1 week what medicine do u prescribe. also if i can gv both of them the same medicine but diff doses.. also is omnacortil, alerid, ambrodil syrups are for cough treatment only.

children needs to given some antihistaminic decongestant syrup for the cough.
For the night cough they can be added some bronchodilator drugs.
If fever is associated with increasing cough then antibiotics may be considered by your pediatrician. Better avoid omnacortil.
Avoid self medication for such small kids.
