Suggest Medication For Pink Eye And Double Ear Infection In An Infant
I have a 10 month old child who was diagnosed with pinkeye and a double ear infection. Due to her allergy to amoxicillin, the doctor put her on Cefdinir. She s been on Cefdinir for 5 days. Now the pinkeye is in both eyes and doesn t seem to have improved. Should we see improvement by now?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pink eye and double ear infection in an infant which is due to post nasal drip , sinusitis , or eustachian tube dysfunction , But in your case the symptoms are probably occur due to allergic reaction . The symptoms can also occcur due to side effects of certain medicine .
I would suggest you to take few preventive measures and along with that you should take antiallergic medication and proper course of antibiotic such as Amoxicillin to suppress infection. Visit pediatricina again once and get it examined. You should go for otoscopic examination and and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Doctor may also prescribe antibiotics eye drops.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
