Suggest Medication For Redness And White Discharge From Right Eye
I noticed that my right eye caruncle is a little red and for 2 or 3 mornings when waking up, noticed that is discharge (white) near my right caruncle. Is there any medical concern for this? Will this go away or do I need to get any eyedrop (what type) for this or see a eye doctor. Thank you
Dear Thanks for raising your concern on this platform anf after reviewing your query I'm of the following opinion:
1. It most probably looks like either acute conductivitis (redness/sticking of eyes) or (Stye/Chalazion) so consult an Ophthalmologist for correct diagnosis and treatment, in the meantime manage the symptoms as follow:
. Use dark glasses for photophobia . Do not pad the eye, keep it open, keep a handkerchief to wipe the discharge repeatedly and do not touch everywhere as the discharge is very infective and isolate from other family members. . Gentamycin or Chloromycetin eye drops: 1 drop 2 hourly till the symptoms and redness subside (instill in both eyes).
