Dear sir, my report malarial qbc : negative widal(slide method): s typhi o : positive 1:160 dilution s. typhi h : positive 1:160 dilution s. typhi ah - negative s. typhi bh - negative report: tc(wbc) : 18800 esr : 1/2 litre : 20mm dc : p-55, l-32,e-13 esr : 1 hour : 43mm please provide analysis and tablets regards, naveen ( 34 years)

You are suffering from typhoid fever.
Single result of salmonela Typhi O or H titre values should be equal or greater than 1:160 for positive results.Otherwise four fold increase in sequential titration is confirmatory.
You can take tablet cefixime 200 mg twice daily for seven days.However,injection Ceftriaxone 1 gm I.V twice daily for five days is the treatment of choice .
