Suggest Medication For Severe Neck Pain?

I hv severe pain on my neck..from past 20 days..i applied volini n al..bt fr timing I felt gud bt afterwards itz paining badly..i can t sleep well bcoz of left side neck pain..from neck to pain goes on my back n to uper portion of head also..I dnt knw my neck vein bcm weak or ligaments .bit swelling nw .I went to.doctor took medicines but dint work.. please suggest some oil or remedies.

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to pulled muscle but X-ray cervical spine may be done to rule out any skeletal cause. Meanwhile OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be helpful for symptomatic relief. Muscle relaxants like tizanidine or orphenidine can also be used. If pain is severe more potent analgesic like tramadol or gabapentin may be helpful. Dry heat application with warm compresses can relief.
