Suggest Medication For Sore Throat, swollen Gums And Red Bumps On The Tongue
I have a sore throat, swollen gums and small red bumps on the front of my tongue. I started taking amoxycillin four days ago which is when the latter two symptoms started. I had a high fever and body aches/other flu like symptoms before but they have passed.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
As per your complain sore throat, swollen gums and red bumps over the tongue which are preceded by flu like symptoms are signs of viral infection causing sore throat and Stomatitis..
At times there can be a secondary bacterial infection so as a precautionary treatment take a short course of antibiotics like Azithromycin or Augmentin.. Nothing to worry, do warm saline gargles.. Take Ibuprofen which is an anti-inflammatory painkiller will help in reducing pain and inflammation. Chew a Vitamin C pellet daily. Avoid hot and spicy food. Apply a steroid based oral paste over the gums for reducing inflammation.. Use a soft toothbrush for brushing your teeth as it will prevent injury to gums..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
