Suggest Medication For Stiffness And Pain In Right Leg And Back
Two days ago, I got back pain and I walked a lot. I put pain relief on my back at night. Yesterday morning I felt no back pain but my right leg was stiff and when I walked I felt pain. So I put pain relief and go out. I could walk but I felt that my muscles in my leg was moving. Last night I put again pain relief Bengay and slept. This morning I feel leg pain and stiffness. So I lay down and lift straight my leg. I feel better. If I lye straight my leg has very painful and some muscles are moving. I think I should stay the leg up straight. When I sit with mediditation position, I feel better. After reading your websites suggestion, I think I am right. I should stay lying with leg up straight position. I would be grateful if you kindly let me know how I should do for my leg pain. Thanks

The symptoms that you are having are likely to be due to a nerve root compression at the level of lumbar spine.The initial management for this problem is conservative by following means :
- Bed rest
- analgesics and ocassional muscle relaxants
- Methylcobalamine preparations will be helpful.
- lumbar back support while sitting for longer periods
- intermittent pelvic traction
If you dont get any relief within 3 weeks, you need an orthosurgeons consultation to decide upon the need for surgical intervention. Hope this helps
