Suggest Medication For Stomach Ache, Headache And Vomiting In Child

Hello my son has a stomach ache and bad headache. I gave him Ibugesic 5ml last night as he had a saw jaw from knocking into his brother at soccer earlier but I am wondering if the medication is causing the problem? He is almost 9years old. Ufortunately when he woke this morning with a stomach cramp and throwing up, I thought he may have a stomach bug and gave him some pectrolyte fro the cramping and more ibugesic for the temperature and headache.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your child have symptoms of stomach ache, headache and vomiting which seems to be due to electrolyte imbalance in body and it could be due to acute gastroenteritis. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take acetaminophen for fever. You should have plenty of fluids to rehydrate. You should take diet rich in multivitamins. You should take proper rest. You should do tepid sponging as well. Visit pediatrician once and get it examined. You should get blood tests done to find out underlying cause of fever whether bacterial or viral and start treatment accordingly. You can take paracetamol syrup for fever as well. Your symptoms will resolve in 3-5 days.
