Suggest Medication For Swollen, Bleeding And Painful Gums In A Child Due To Teething
Hi we have a 1 in a half year old. We took him to the dentist because of teething. They said he has no decay or anything just his k9 teeth a a few next to them coming in. It s 930 at night and he is screaming non stop and most of his gum are extremily swollen and bleeding when barley toched. I ve tried or gel and Tylenol. He has no fever but is verrrry much in pain and keeps grabbing at his ears and head and mouth. What should we do right this second?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain swollen and painful gums at the time of teething is commonly seen and occurs due to pressure of the erupting teeth that leads to tearing of the gums at the site of erupting teeth and causes pain and swelling.
I would suggest you to do cool compresses as it will reduce inflammation and pain.. Apply numbing gel containing Lignocaine over the gums for relief.. You should also continue giving tylenol or a combination of tylenol and Ibuprofen for relief.. You can also give him plenty of cool milk and other cool fluids..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
