Suggest Medication For Typhoid
suffering from typhoid my wife is suffering from fever from last 18 days.she was diagonised with mild typhoid. he is taking medicine like cepoexime-200,g cin from last seven days and still she got fever of 100°c in evening.now what to do.pl advise me whether change the medicine or continue medicine as prescribed by doctor.

Cefpodoxime is used to treat typhoid.If her symptoms are not coming down I were to admit her at the first place and switch her on Ceftriaxone injection twice daily which is the standard of care and observe closely.Hope this answers your query and she shall get well soon.
