Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been diagnosed through a skin biopsy for vasculitis on my feet and lower legs. We have tried prednisone did not cure, and now methotrexate. I have five lessions that get better and then with the reduction of meds get worse. Any suggestions, I get the shakes from the prdnisone and I am going weight.
I went through your history provided to us. It seems you are diagnosed with vasculitis. Vasculitis is an autoimmune disease and the treatment is mainly by the use of steroids and immunosuppressant drugs. The treatment you are on is in right direction and you need to follow the treatment. Along with this evaluation is required to rule out the underlying cause. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment depending on the underlying cause.
Thank you for writing to us.
