Can Methotrexate Cause Tooth Decay?

Can methotrexate speed or cause tooth decay? I m 52 and have Ankalosing spondilitis I ve been on injectible methotrexate for about 3 years and my teeth and I ve have serveal absesses and 3 teeth break off. I do have many filling from my childhood but take good care of my teeth. My dentist wasn t sure if meds was the cause.
