Suggest Medication For Weight Gain & What S The Difference Between Wellbutrin Sr & Wellbutrin Er?

Hi I have a 24 year old daughter who has been on 100 mg of Zoloft for a year but has put on a lot of weight I have been reading about people losing weight on the drug Wellbutrin Would you recommend her asking her dr to switch drugs? Also what is the difference b/w Wellbutrin sr and Wellbutrin er?

I am so sorry to hear about this weight gain issues that your daughter has suffered. The best way forward would be to evaluate her drugs and treatment by her doctor. If zoloft is the most likely culprit, then switching the medications would be a reasonable option. Wellbutrin ER and SR are practically the same. The stand for extended release and sustained/slow release, respectively.
