Suggest Medication To Cure Bipolar Disorder And Depression
Hello I was recently diagnosed with bipolar depression ,although I have had many episodes of manic behavior n the past I don t really have the energy I use to have don t feel like I have manic episodes . Do I still need mood stabilizer? Will this medication help my depression? Been taking 20mg, Prozac for years

Prozac (fluoxetine) is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor commonly prescribed to treat depression, panic, anxiety, or obsessive-compulsive symptoms. Hence, this medication will help in reducing the symptoms of depression. However, if you get a manic episode alternating with depression i.e. Bipolar depression, you will need another medication ('mood stabilizer') like Olanzapine to treat manic episode as well.
