Hi.

I have gone through your query. Are you using a method of contraception as well. Many types of contraceptive methods affect the cycles and it is possible to have some spotting or bleeding. This usually occurs because there is an increase in uterine contractions.

Other reasons for bleeding may include infections or fibroids. Fibroids are lumps in the uterus which are increased in size. This can cause bleeding as the cycle progresses. An ultrasound would be needed to confirm the presence of a fibroid. Once confirmed, the doctor might suggest treatment with medication or with surgical removal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Vignan Rachabattuni
