Suggest Medication To Delay Periods

I started taking noriday On the 2nd day of my first period since having a baby 7 weeks ago. After having my first child my first period was very heavy and this one only lasted 4 days. I am due to have my period in 3 weeks around the date of my sisters wedding where I am bridesmaid and ideally could do without it. Is it likely I won t have a period or should I see a doc to get something to delay it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is unusual for you to have a period if you are breastfeeding your baby. However, as a precaution, you could ask your OBGYN for a progesterone pill prescription, or you could continue on Noriday.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan, General & Family Physician
