I am a 62 year old male who is in good health for my age. I retired from my 40 yr career in banking 30 months ago and am enjoying my retirement very much. My only problem is that ,for the last three and a half years I am unable to have a decent nights sleep I.e. No matter what time I go to bed I will wake up almost exactly two hours later . I don t have a problem going to sleep,just staying asleep.i have tried everything , reading/not reading,eating/not eating,going to bed early/ late etc;I was prescribed sleeping tablets by my doctor and two months later reluctantly started to take them.i took a tablet on two consecutive nights but the only thing that changed was that,next day they left me groggy! So I stopped taking them immediately.can you suggest anything that might help me get ,say six uninterrupted hours sleep at nighttime ?
