Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am suffering from Psoriasis past 24 years, I am undergoing treatment but that is really not helping me, As of now I am using Topisal,Dilucort for my body and for scalp I am using Ultitar and Relysal. I was earlier treated by oncotex 7.5mg tab which helped reduce my psoriasis but then when I was asked to carry out LFT my SGPT was on higher side because of which my physician stopped that medicine. recently I was given Azithral but that does not seems to be working very well for me. Please help me and guide me wht medicines I should be taking to bring down my psoriasis asap. Mathew
As per my clinical experience, Psoriasis is a chronic dermatological disorder which is many times drug resistant. As the routine molecules are already being tried, specific molecules need to be considered as disease modifying agents: - Monoclonal antibodies such as: @ Adalimumab @ Infliximab @ Etanercept
The ultraviolet B light is also promising option for the trial therapy in number of cases with good outcome. Kindly discuss all possible options with your treating doc during your next scheduled visit.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.
